What a conversation keeps

• The words of the conversation, yours and Aurora's, as text.
• A short summary of the conversation for Laurent & Hale's team.
• The products Aurora looked up, showed or added to your bag.
• When and where on the site the conversation happened, and whether it led to an order.
• Your name and contact details, only if you ask the team to follow up.
• A random visitor id in your browser's storage (aurora.visitor), so Aurora can recognise a returning visitor.

What it never keeps

• Audio. Your voice is streamed to the AI model and never recorded.
• Card numbers. A card number spoken or typed is removed before anything is stored, and Aurora never takes payment.

How long

Transcripts, summaries and product lookups are deleted 90 days after the conversation ends, by a job that runs every day. The record that a conversation happened and led to an order stays, because it is Laurent & Hale's sales record. Anonymous usage counts (which screens were opened, for example) are kept and hold none of your words.

Who sees it

• OpenAI: the audio and text of the conversation, to run Aurora, and the transcript afterwards, to write the team's summary.
• LiveKit: carries the audio between your browser and Aurora, with noise cancellation on your microphone.
• Runway: Aurora's own voice, to animate the face. Never yours.
• Shopify: your bag's contents.
• Fly.io: hosts the service and the database where the above is kept.

Your copy, or deletion

Ask Laurent & Hale for a copy of what was kept, or to delete it. Deletion removes the transcripts, summaries and any follow-up details and forgets the visitor id; the order record stays, without your identity.
